Ashok Abeysinghe appears before CID
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Kurunegala District MP Ashok Abeysinghe arrived at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) a short while ago to provide a statement over recent controversial comments he made regarding the Easter Sunday terror attacks.
Mr Abeysinghe had been issued summons by the CID on two occasions over his comments, but he failed to appear. He however, informed Parliament yesterday that he would appear before the CID today.
