The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has informed all airlines that on the instructions of the Ministry of Tourism and Aviation, passengers with a travel history to India within the last 14 days will not be allowed to disembark in Sri Lanka with immediate effect. The restriction will apply until further notice.
In a letter to airlines, CAA Director General Capt. Themiya Abeywickrama stated that these restrictions will be reviewed as early as possible.
Earlier, the CAA announced that all passengers traveling from India will not be permitted to disembark in Sri Lanka until further notice.
