The bodies of three persons, including that of a child, have been recovered from a house in Galgamuwa this morning (7).
The bodies are those of a 28-year-old female, her 10-year-old son and another 28-year-old male, Police Spokesman Senior Deputy Inspector General (SDIG) Ajith Rohana said.
Police suspect that the male, who had been carrying on an affair with the woman had murdered her and her son before taking his own life.
A magisterial inquiry and a post-mortem inquiry are due to be held to acertain the cause of deaths. Galgamuwa Police are investigating.
