Breakdown at Norochcholai power plant

News

One of the three units at the Norochcholai Lakwijeya power station has been disconnected from tonight due to an emergency breakdown, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) said.

However, in view of the availability of hydro-power it would not have an impact on power supplies, the CEB added.
