CAA invites complaints from consumers on over pricing goods

The Consumer Affairs Authority has requested the public to lodge complaints against traders who sell commodities at increased prices during the current emergency disaster situation prevailing in the country.

Complaints could be made to the following telephone numbers.

Western Province – 0770106603

North Western Province – 0771088902

Sabaragamuwa Province – 0771088912

Uva Province – 0771088896

Southern Province – 0771088915

Northern Province – 0771088910

North Central Province – 0771088801

Eastern Province – 0770110096

The Authority further informed that in view of the information received regarding traders who sell goods at exorbitant prices during this difficult period strict legal action will be taken against them in the future.
