The services of CEA Chairman Supun S. Pathirage arrested over allegations of Bribery Charges has been suspended from service, by the Environmental Ministry.
The CEA Chairman and two others , arrested by officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) on Friday for having solicited a bribe of Rs. 10 million were remanded until November 13.
They were produced on Saturday at the Colombo Magistrate’s Court after being held overnight.
They had allegedly solicited the bribe for approval for a project to refine furnace oil.
