The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) today appealed to rooftop solar system owners to voluntarily switch off their solar inverters today (April 12) until 3:00 PM, due to low electricity demand in the national grid.
The CEB said the request was made to ensue ‘the reliable and stable operation of the national grid during the festive season’.
“Your support is sincerely appreciated in helping to ensure a continuous and secure power supply for the entire nation,” the CEB alert sent to solar system owners said.
