The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has taken over the investigation regarding the ‘Garlic scam’ involving Sathosa, Police said
They elaborated that the initial investigation was carried out by Peliyagoda Special Crimes Division and later it was handed over to the CID.
Accordingly, the CID was able to arrest a 55-year-old resident of Bambalapitiya today (7) over suspicion that he bought the garlic in a fraudulent manner.
