A meeting of COPE members scheduled to be held today afternoon has been postponed, Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena announced.
He said until a resolution is reached on the current issues the meetings will not be held.
The Opposition has called for the removal of the Chairman COPE Prof Ranjith Bandara on the grounds that he favoured Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) officials.
Earlier, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa called Parliament to replace COPE Chairman Prof Ranjith Bandara from the position due to a conflict of interests with Sri Lanka Cricket.
Mr Premadasa presenting documents claimed that he was a consultant for SLC for a project known as Kandy Cricket Campus in addition to a Consultancy firm of Prof Bandara providing its services to the SLC.
In addition, he said Prof Bandara’s son Kanishka Bandara had been seated at the COPE sessions on SLC this week.
