COVID-19 update: 3591 fresh cases & 36 deaths reported today
The total number of COVID-19 infected patients reported from Divulapitiya, Peliyagoda, Prison, and New Year clusters so far is 3591 today recording the highest number of persons tested positive on a single day, the Government Information Department said.
With 540 newly reported patients from the New Year COVID-19 cluster, the total number of persons reported so far is 144, 425.
Meanwhile, 36 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported today in the country increasing the death toll to 1,051 and recorded the highest number of deaths in a single day.
