Five persons have died from COVID-19 on Tuesday, the Director General of Health announced today (24).
This number increases the total COVID death toll in the country to 16,671. Though the daily death toll remained zero for a few months, a slight increase in the daily death toll (between three to seven deaths) has been reported since July.
Majority of the deceased are above 60 years of age. Yesterday’s death toll included four males and one female.
