Staff at the Theldeniya COVID treatment centre held a two-hour silent protest at the hospital premises during the afternoon today (1).
They pointed out that only 60% of the staff at the treatment centre had been vaccinated while 40% were yet to be vaccinated.
The protesters called on health authorities to take immediate steps to vaccinate all health staff and their immediate families. They warned that they will take sterner trade union action if their demands are not met.
