COVID vaccination accelerated in WP
Long queues were seen at a COVID vaccination centre run by the Welisara Navy Camp staff today (5). This was one among the many centres run in the Colombo District today in keeping with the accelerated vaccination campaign in the Western Province(WP).
The Navy has received 5000 doses, of which they were planning to inoculate at least 2500 vaccinations today. For this purpose the Navy has deployed the services of 15 medical staff and 25 other oxiliary staff, Navy sources said.
Meanwhile vaccinations were being given at a vaccination centre in Kalutara to citizens over 60.
