Cabinet approves importing of over 90 million eggs
The Cabinet of Ministers gave their approval to import 92.1 million eggs for a period of three months.
The proposal to import eggs was forwarded to the Cabinet by President Wickremesinghe in his capacity as the Finance Minister.
Accordingly, quotations have been called from three Indian companies recommended by the Department of Animal Products and Health. The import will be done through the State Trading Corporation.
