Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong handed over another batch of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits to the front line workers of Sri Lanka Customs yesterday.
Accordingly, Ambassador Qi met Major General (Retd.) G. Vijitha Ravipriya, Director General of Sri Lanka Customs and handed over the items on behalf of the Chinese people, the Chinese Embassy in Colombo said.
The batch of PPEs including 585 sets of protective clothing and shoes covers (13 boxes), 50,000 disposable face masks (25 boxes), 9600 KN95 face masks (10 boxes), 240 goggles (not disposable, 2 boxes), 1500 pairs of disposable gloves (3 boxes), and 10 SteriLamps to Sri Lanka Customs to support the front line customs officers fighting against COVID-19.
