Six batches of rice have been scheduled in China’s 500 million RMB grant to Sri Lanka, the Chinese Embassy in Colombo said.
The first and second batches will arrive at Colombo Port on June 25 and 30.
The 10,000 metric tonnes of rice will be used for the neediest children under the “school meal programme” across the country, the Embassy said.
