Cigarette and liquor prices up
Prices of cigarettes and liquor have been increased with effect from today.
The price hike has been implemented following the increase in excise duty.
The prices of cigarettes have been increased under four categories. Thereby, the prices of cigarettes have been increased by Rs. 5, Rs. 15, Rs. 20, and Rs. 25 per stick.
Also the prices of all kinds of arrack and beer have been increased by Rs. 300 per bottle while the price of beer went up by Rs. 50.
The list is to be finalised by the respective companies on Monday.
