The Committee Stage debate of Budget 2024 commences from today (22).
Among the Heads of Expenditure that will be taken up for debate today are those of the President, Prime Minister's Office, Judges of the Superior Courts, Cabinet Office, Parliament and Independent Commissions.
The Committee Stage debate will be held for 19 days from today till December 13 excluding Sundays.
A vote on the Third Reading of Budget 2024 is scheduled for 6.00pm on December 13.
The Second Reading of Budget 2024 was passed by a majority of 45 votes last evening, with 122 votes in favour 77 votes against.
