Complaint against Ananmaduwa SJB organiser

A complaint has been lodged against the Samagi Jana Balawegaya orgainser for Anamaduwa Gamini Wadigamagawa for assaulting a manageress of a supermarket in the area, Police said today.

Police said the incident occurred on Thursday night when the organiser under the influence of liquor allegedly entered the shop and beat up the manageress, who in turn has lodged the complaint.

Police said investigations are underway. Mr Wadigamangawa was not available for comment. (BY Hiran Priyankara Jayasinghe)
