Couple transporting heroin arrested
A couple transporting 68 kilos of heroin in a car was arrested by a team of officers from the Matara Divisional Crime Investigation Division today (10) in the Deiyandara Denagama area in Matara.
The value of the seized heroin is close to Rs. 700 million, police said.
The arrested man is a resident of Katana, Negombo and the woman is a resident of Kandy.
