Police has obtained a Magistrate Court order preventing a multi-religious protest campaign taking place near the Bodhirukkarama temple in Pettah on July 7 in a manner disrupting disrupting traffic and movement of the public.
Police had informed courts that the protesters were planning to put up a stage in Pettah and have a continous protest campaign which would disrupt traffic and movement of the pedestrians.
The Order was issued against the convener of the Surakimu Sri Lanka National Movement Ven Pahiyangala Ananda thera, President of the Principals organisation Ven Ulapane Sumangala thera and founder of the Bhumi Mathru Manusath Padanama Ven Kalubowila Paduma thera.
