The Court of Appeal postponed its decision whether to accept former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella’s Writ petition, which sought an order instructing the Maligakanda Magistrate to release him on bail.
The decision has been postponed for May 7.
The former Minister is challenging the Maligakanda Magistrate’s rulings from February 3, February 15, February 29, and March 29, which repeatedly prevented his release on bail and placed him in remand until the trial’s completion.
