The Defense Ministry Head of Expenditure was passed in parliament with 91 members in favor and only 10 members against.
The SJB members were among those absent in parliament at the time of the vote.
The Ministry Public security Head of Expenditure was subsequently passed without a vote.
However MP M.A Sumanthiran said that the 10 members of the TNA were opposed to the public security head of expenditure as well.
