A derailment on the main railway line at Orugodawatta has delayed several trains today morning.
The Anuradhapura bound Yal Devi train has been derailed. Two compartments have gone off the track.
The Kandy bound intercity train and several other office trains have been held up as a result.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
