The accomplice of underworld leader “Ganemulla Sanjeewa” arrested with a live hand bomb in Gampaha was placed under detention order.
The 25 year old suspect, resident of Webada, was arrested in a raid in front of a house situated in the Imalgoda area with a live hand bomb and 16.2 g of heroin on Friday (November 25).
The suspect is known to be a main accomplice of “Ganemulla Sanjeewa”, an underworld leader and had been involved in various frauds and murders, including the murder at Makewita Mawli Super Hardware on August 24, 2022.
The suspect, arrested in a raid conducted by the STF Gonahena Camp officials including Police Inspector S. D. P. N. Deshapriya, was handed over to the Gampaha Police for further investigation, where he still remains on detention order.
