Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider, has extended eSIM support for Apple Watch Cellular Models thereby enabling Apple Watch users to stay connected, even while they are away from their phones.
The eSIM service enables Apple Watch (Cellular) users to make calls, send texts, and so much more, even without an iPhone nearby. Dialog, the first in Sri Lanka to offer eSIM services for Apple Watches is also the only authorised eSIM service provider for iPhones and the first and only network to offer Voice over WiFi (VoWiFi or WiFi Calling) and VoLTE (Voice over LTE) in Sri Lanka, the telecom company said in a media release.
Lasantha Theverapperuma, Group Chief Operating Officer of Dialog Axiata PLC said, “We are pleased to extend eSIM support for Apple watches, transforming the way people will use their wearables while providing them with a new sense of freedom – to stay connected with or without their iPhone nearby.”
