Dr. Anil Jasinghe has been appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Health and Media.
The appointment letter was officially handed over by Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Secretary to the President, at the Presidential Secretariat earlier today.
Dr. Jasinghe is a distinguished Sri Lankan medical administrator with a notable career. He previously served as Secretary to the Ministry of Environment and held the position of Director-General of Health Services in the Ministry of Health, Nutrition, and Indigenous Medicine from December 2017 to August 2020, playing a critical role during the early phase of the COVID-19 pandemic.
