Drugs detected at BIA

The Customs Drug Control Unit had arrested an individual with 650 g of ice drug on Wednesday (December 14) worth Rs. 13 million at the Katunayake Airport.

The officials of the Customs Drug Control Unit had become suspicious of an individual arriving from Mexico, where they had opened the parcel in front of him at the Katunayake Airport Air Wagon area.

The officers of the Customs Drug Control Unit along with the Police Narcotics Bureau are conducting further investigations.
