Drunk driver kills motorcyclist in Col 7

A 24 year old motorcylist was killed when a speeding car hit his motorbike at Wijerama Mawatha last night, police said.

According to police, the reckless driver was driving under the influence liquor when he rammed into the bike near Ward Place-Wijerama Mw junction.

Cinnamon Gardens police has arrested the driver and is conducting further investigation.

The motorbike rider who sustained severe injuries died on admission to the National Hospital. The 24 year old victim is a resident of Grandpass.
