A 24 year old female working in a duty-free shop at the Bandaranaike International Airport was arrested today after trying to smuggle out four parcels containing a gold gel solution, officials said.
The value of the gold gel was estimated at Rs 100 million.
The gold gel packed into four parcels and the suspect had hidden the parcels in her inner clothing.
The Airport Security had made observations by security cameras and made the arrest.
She has been handed over to the Customs for further investigations.
