The National Building and Research Organisation (NBRO) today issued early landslide warnings in four districts, as heavy rains continued in parts of the country.
A Level 2 (Amber) warning has been issued for several areas in the Galle and Kalutara districts as follows:
* Galle District: Nagoda and Elpitiya Divisional Secretariat Divisions (DSD) and surrounding areas
* Kaluthara District: Walallawita DSD and surrounding areas
A Level 1 (Yellow) warning was issued for the following areas:*
* Galle District: Niyagama DSD and surrounding areas
* Kegalle District: Dehiovita DSD and surrounding areas
* Matara District: Pitabeddara DSD.
