On an unanimous decision by the cabinet ministers, the ancestral home of the Ehelepola Nilame and his family located in the central hills of Kandy is to be handed over to the Temple of the Tooth Relic through a title deed.
The Secretary to the President Saman Ekanayaka is required to submit a report with recommendations to the Cabinet upon discussing with all relevant parties regarding its handing over.
The proposal was submitted by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
