The Hatton Magistrates today granted bail to eight workers who were arrested by the police following a scuffle with the management staff of an estate in the area.
Nine charges were filed against the workers, including assaulting managers.
Lawyers representing the management objected to the bail but lawyers representing the workers said that the allegations were made to control the workers' struggle and that they were trying to portray them as terrorists.
The trial is set to resume on April 28.
