All services related to the provision of electricity and the distribution or sale of fuel and petroleum products have been declared as essential services by an Extraordinary Gazette.
As per President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s directive, the Secretary to President Saman Ekanayake issued the said gazette on Sunday (Mar. 3).
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
