Three deaths have been reported separate elephant attacks in the past three days
The most recent elephant attack had occurred at Suriyawewa Mudunagala area in Hambantota, yesterday.
The incident had occurred when a farmer was riding his motorbike to a boutique near his farmland around 9.00 pm yesterday after tending to his cultivation. A witness said that the elephant attack the farmer while he was traveling on the motorbike.
With this incident the number of deaths caused by elephant attacks in Hambantota area have risen to three cases.
Previous two elephant attacks had taken place on Monday and Tuesday. The two separate incidents took place at Katuwewa Ambalangoda and Ambalantota Koggala Kadawara areas.
