Former Senior Deputy Inspector General (SDIG) of Police (Retd.) Ravi Seneviratne who headed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has been placed under arrest on Saturday night (28) on charges of driving under the influence on alcohol and causing a collision involving three cars along the Marine Drive, in Colombo.
Former SDIG Seneviratne was later produced before the Magistrate's Court of Mount Lavinia and remanded until November 1.
