A gazette issued by the Ministry of Transport and Highways has increased the prices of fares of expressways.
A gazette dated to April 24, issued by the Minister Bandula Gunawardena seeks to increase the prices of fares of expressways by around 25 per cent.
Accordingly, the new fares for cars travelling from Katunayake to Hambantota are Rs. 1300 and Rs. 400 from Katunayake to Peliyagoda.
Full details of the revised prices have been gazetted.
