Farmer killed, another injured in lightning strike
One person was killed and another injured due to a lightning strike on a paddyfield in Serunuwara last evening (2).
Police said three farmers had been working in a paddyfield when two of them were struck by lightning. A 61-year-old resident of Somapura died at the scene while the other person was admitted to the Serunuwara Hospital for his injuries.
