A Grama Sevaka Niladhri turned dancer, Eshani Vidiya Kulasinghe was the only female dancer who performed at the Kandy Esala Perahera to be picked to receive a certificate for her performance.
Eshani, a past pupil of Dharmawickremara Balika Vidyalya and Mahamaya Girls’ College Kandy has been dancing since 2012 at the Esala Perahera.
At the conclusion of the Kandy Esala Maha Perahera she was recognized by the Committee who were monitoring the dancers and was selected to receive a certificate and cash reward by President Anura Kumara Disssnayake.
She was among the 4000 dancers, drummers who paraded the streets for the Kandy for the Kandy Esala Perahera and the only Woman dancer who was selected by the panel that adjudged the dancers for accolades.
She danced in the Goddedss Phini Devale section.
She is a Grama Sevaka by profession in the Yatinuwara Electorate.
