A suspect has been arrested in connection with an assault that left a man dead in Panadura last night (24).
Police said the 46-year-old victim, a resident of Thotawatta, Panadura, had got into an altercation with the 45-year-old suspect at the three-wheeler park in Diggala Junction, Panadura.
During the fight, the victim had allegedly attacked the suspect with the glass of one of his three-wheeler's side mirrors. The suspect too had then physically assaulted the victim, causing him injuries. He was admitted to the Panadura South Base Hospital but had succumbed to his injuries.
The 45-year-old suspect who was arrested in connection with the killing is a resident of Keselwatta, Panadura. Panadura North Police are investigating.
