Forty three (43) persons have died from COVID related complications on Tuesday; the Director General of Health Services confirmed a short while ago.
Among the deaths were 36 persons above 60 years of age and seven between 30-59 years. There have been no deaths reported below 30 years. The country’s total death toll from the virus stands at 13,185.
Meanwhile, 582 persons have been tested positive for Coronavirus today increasing the total number of infected persons to 522,587. At present 31,116 COVID patients are being treated at hospitals, treatment centres and at their residences, the Health Ministry said.
