Four suspects have been arrested in connection with the theft of copper cables worth Rs. 700, 000 belonging to a company engaged in construction work at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
Acting on a complaint by the company, Airport Police conducted an investigation and arrested the four suspects along with a section of the copper cables they had allegedly stolen. The suspects are aged 20, 33 and 35 years and are ressidents of Dehiovita, Devalagama, Beliatta and Seeduwa. They are due to be produced before the Negombo Magistrate's Court today.
