Fuel prices rise for the third time in three months

Fuel prices were increased once again with effect from midnight today (May 2), marking the third revision within a span of three months.

 

Under the latest adjustment, the price of Lanka Petrol 92 Octane has been raised by Rs. 12 per litre to Rs. 410, while Lanka Petrol 95 Octane has gone up by Rs. 15 to Rs. 470 per litre.

 

Auto Diesel has seen an increase of Rs. 10, bringing its new price to Rs. 392 per litre. Super Diesel, meanwhile, has been revised upwards by Rs. 15 to Rs. 458 per litre.

 

Kerosene prices have also been increased by Rs. 10 per litre, with the new price set at Rs. 265.

The last increase was seen on March 9, followed by another hike on March 22.
