Long queues have been observed near fuel stations in Jaffna in the past 24 hours, residents in the area said.
Some of the sheds have already put up notices that fuel was not available.

The Ministry said that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has sufficient fuel stocks and that stocks also have been ordered.
The Ministry said misleading reports about a possible fuel shortage has appeared in the social media.
