A petrol shed which operates near Katunayake, Bandaranaike International Airport has started to prioritize fuel distribution only for airport vehicles.
The petrol shed has also started urgently to issue fuel only to those who obtain priority documentation from the airport. Therefore, the usual private vehicle owners and drivers of free trade zones are facing difficulty buying fuel.
However, another fuel station in the area which took a similar station was subjected to attack as the petrol station employees refused to provide fuel for private vehicle owners.
