An extraordinary gazette notification has been published on Domestic Debt Optimization (DDO).
Under the new gazette, the President in his capacity as Minister of Finance, has issued several directives to the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance and the Registrar of Public Debt.
The government Resolution on Domestic Debt Optimization was passed by Parliament on Saturday (1) by 122 votes to 62 after a day-long debate.
