Gold capsules seized at BIA while smuggling

News

A Sri Lankan was arrested by Narcotics Control Unit officers at the BIA while attempting to smuggle gold capsules.

The suspect was attempting to board the flight to Mumbai, India.

Based on suspicion of this individual, he was checked by the, who then discovered three gold capsules weighing 1.28 kg hidden within him. The arrested man was identified as Muhammed Sihab Nabuhan.

Further investigations are underway by the customs officers.
