Comical situation arose when the governing members of Dambulla Provincial Council welcomed the opposition members, who were coming to the Council in bullock carts and bicycles, with garlands made out of jack leaves and croton leaves this morning (1).
The opposition members were protesting the recent fuel hike and the fertilizer issue and conducted a protest campaign in and outside the council. There were heated arguments between the two parties
