The cabinet had approved the signing of an agreement between the Korea’s Human Resource Development Services (HRDS) and Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka to strengthen education and training sectors
Accordingly, the Korean Government has agreed to provide a grant of 2.15 billion won to improve and expand capacity of Niyagama National Vocational Training Institute which operates under the authority.
It was agreed that the argument needed to be signed between the Sri Lanka Vocational Training Authority and the HRDS of the labor Ministry of the Korean government to commence the two year project which is planned to be started this year.
The Attorney General's clearance and consensus foreign affairs ministry as well as the Department of foreign resources have given approval for the proposed agreement. Therefore the cabinet approved the proposal made by Education Minister Susil Premajayantha.
