Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Colombo District MP Dr. Harsha De Silva has been appointed as Chair of Parliament's Committee on Public Finance (COPF), Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne announced today (18).
The appointment was made by Parliament's Committee of Selection.
Dr. De Silva served as Chair of the COPF in the last Parliament as well.
The Speaker also announced that MPs Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma, Ravi Karunanayake, Harshana Rajakaruna, Nimal Palihena, Wijesiri Basnayake, Thilina Samarakoon and Lakmali Hemachandra have also been appointed to the COPF chaired by Dr. Harsha De Silva.
